Ten Days

I leave for the Provo MTC June 26th, where I will prepare to serve our Heavenly Father in Chicago Illinois for 18 months.

Like what?

Lol I have less than TEN DAYS guys! TEN! Where has the time gone??
when I received my call, it seemed forever away. Even though my report time was abnormally quick. (Barely two months) A lot of big things had to happen first, meaning..in my head I totally set "mile markers" and when those mile markers had passed, I knew life was about to get real. real quick. And guess what? It did! AND I survived!

1. The day JT left

2. Skylei's graduation

3. Cleaning out my closet of clothes I could no longer wear, due to my G's.

4. Receiving my Farewell topic.

For some reason, #3 and #4 were a big deal back in April and I never thought they would really come. Anyways, they did and long story short...my farewell is NEXT SUNDAY, and I report THREE days later. Like whoa baby! I am 95% packed, my last list has been written, and I am preparing my last talk. How grown up does that sound?!

Tiff did my missionary pictures and there are just so many that I will post a few!  How lucky am I to have such an awesome sis that is an even more awesome photographer?! She rocks! Love you Tiff!

Even though I am freaking my freaker I leave so soon, I am so dang excited! Like I am going to be a REAL, 24/7 missionary.  IN CHICAGO! (west, but SAME THING) lol it's so crazy and I can't even believe Heavenly Father has given me this opportunity. It's NO DOUBT the best decision I have EVER made. My heart is just SO full friends, and I am scared out of my mind, but I know Heavenly Father is always, and will always be there to help me and give me strength when I all I want to do is come home and cuddle with my mom and

sisters! Haha! Ten days guys, and I will officially be Sister Jennings. :)

Week 4

Bugembe Bodumbili!

Hello everyone!
how are you all doing? i hope very good! thanks for the emails from everyone! umm this week has been a difficult week!
We meet a lot of people everyday, and they all say they will come to church but they dont so its very disappointing. Especially when the people know that the church is true, they just dont want to take those steps to come closer to Christ! but we do what we can.

The Pastors and people like that, hate us here because these young men know a whole lot more than them! so they get frustated and mean! They usually just want to bible bash with us!
We were suppose to have a baptism this week but we felt that he wasnt ready so next week we will have a baptism, and a confirmation which is good! I'm super excited for those two guys i hope this week that we can get more people to come to church!
Me and my companion are trying to learn lugandan and Lusaka. by the end of my mission i want be fluent. its funny when people talk to me in those languages and i can reply, they just looked shocked and they laugh. i know how to greet people and just small things like that, but its fun!

this week i ate grasshoppers!  They eat them like candy!! They are really good! i had goat meat yesterday. A member fed it to us. its a really sweet tender meat its good!
im really excited to go back to work this week, and find those that are searching for this gospel! it really changes peoples lives  and i can see it! it is amazing!

our sunday school teacher yesterday said that the teacher and classmates in school know who the mormons are because they excel more than other students which i thought was cool!
we have such a great knowledge of things its incredible the gospel is so simple but can go so deep its so awesome!! i love you all and ill send some pictures thanks for all the love and support

love elder Stewart

Tasty grasshoppers (so gross lol)
He didn't send an explanation with this pic...but we just hope he didn't have to eat it.

Week 3

Jabalei everyone!

So this week has flown by!! It feels like yesterday i was emailing! im really happy to hear from you all! to answer some questions...umm its not annoying for the kids to say mzungo bye bye! they are just so excited to see a white person, they run up and want to touch me to see if my skin is different lol its funny!
This week has been hard because we couldnt find a member to work with us! even though a lot of them speak english its hard for them to understand what we say, because there are words they have never heard, and they say i talk really fast! So i talk really slow. I feel really dumb but thats what i gotta do!!

umm saturday and sunday we had 4 people commit to be baptized in the month of june! thats so awesome im so proud of them! and one is a family of seven which is awesome!

people in uganda always try to make time for the missionaries when they see the Jesus Christ on our name tags. They just want us to share the word of god. We have a few people that just want to bash, but we just share our testimonies with them and move on! Our mission is probably the hardest mission, says pres Jackson. Because we are finding the elect of God! Many missionaries said that if they wanted to baptize people they could easily have 5 to 10 baptisms a week, but we are trying to find those people that are going to be strong! we are building the foundation of the church here in uganda so in 10 to 20 years it will be flourishing! i love it here! the people are amazing!

we had an expierence with this one guy when we were coming back from wanyange and he told us that Jesus isnt Jesus and that there is a differerent son of god Named Esa Messiah. he tried to explain but i was lost!
I'm just so grateful for what i have today, and having the gospel, a wonderful family and so many amazing friends. I love you all and am so grateful for the love that i feel from all of you! i thank you for everything! Overall this week has been very good I'm going to send pictures now but i love you all and miss you!!
